On December 17, 2012 two Laws dated 24.05.2012 came into force, modifying the procedure of state registration of business entities:

- № 4839-VI «On Amendments to Some Laws of Ukraine Related to Registration of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs";

- № 4834-VI «On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine Concerning Improvement of Certain Tax Rules."

According to the amendments, now the extract from the Unified State Register (USR) is a document that is used to identify a business entity during its economic activity and a bank account opening.

Under the new rules the registration of a business entities in the state statistics, STS and the Pension Fund of Ukraine will be confirmed by the USR extract.

New version of Art. 69.1 of the Tax Code prescribes that banks and other financial institutions open current and other taxpayers` accounts basing on documents issued by STS, confirming their registration in STS, or basing on the USR extract. Previously the 4-OPP Certificate was the relevant document.

Details of registration will be sent to the Unified State Registry by departments of State Statistics, STS and Pension Fund automatically on the day of registration in the prescribed manner.

Such innovations are aimed at the implementation of the "one contact" principle implementation in carrying out state registration of legal entities.
