On January 1, 2012 the new Classification of Economic Activities (CEA) DK 009:2010 came into force.

At the same time the previous CEA DK 009:2005 will remain valid until the end of 2012. However, changes into the Unified State Register of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs in terms of CEA changes may be implemented solely on the bases of the new classification. It should be also specified that, in case a work continues on the bases of the old classification, difficulties in obtaining VAT payer registration certificate or single tax payer registration certificate may arise.

CEA DK 009:2005 development was based on the Statistical classification of economic activities in the European Community (NACE). As a matter of convenience the CEA DK 009:2010 foresees a column titled as NACE (Rev. 1.1), indicating which number corresponds to the new CEA when the old one is being replaced.
